There are so many options for camping and recreation in and around Pisgah and the Soldier River valley. We’re gonna give a few of our recommendations, but we can’t even cover it all.
Pisgah City Park

We start and finish the race at the Pisgah City Park, so this is a great place to camp as well. There are 6 electrical hookups for RVs and campers, bathrooms, showers, dump station, and fresh water station. It’s $20 a night for RVs and $10 for tent camping last we checked in Aug. of 2022. There’s also a nice playground and fully stocked cornhole game. It’s a perfect Iowa park!

Loess Hills Hideaway
Just a 5 minute drive East from Pisgah is our friends Lori and Martin’s place, the Loess Hills Hideaway. They have cabins, camping, RV hook-ups, and tent spots available with really nice showers and laundry.
Willow Lake Recreation Area
From the My County Parks website, “220 acres for multiple outdoor recreation opportunities. There is a 27-acre fishing lake with boat ramp access, fishing jetties, handicap fishing pier, swimming beach, playground and playscape, picnic shelters, campground with electricity and water as well as shower houses with restrooms”.
