A couple days ago I sat down to write an overview of the 2024 season. A lot had happened the last few months and I wanted to get the word out and at some point in the process I decided, “this needs to be a video”. So, I setup a camera, hooked up some old light in the basement and made this:
I covered most of what I could, although there are a few things we still need to do. What’s in the video is:
- Race locations and how we’re going to have 21 races in 2024 🤯
- How the Glenwood Gravel Grinder became the Glenwood Superbloom for 2024
- How Kalona and Fairfield got added to the series. Big shout out to Caleb Wilson for all his hard work and the Chamber of Commerce in Fairfield for entrusting us with the Harvest Rush
- Introduced the Cup of Dirt award. I need to follow up with some details on that (coming soon)
- First look at the 2024 jersey you can get by signing up for the full season, win it as a podium prize, or purchase on Radical’s site or as part of your registration.
- I mentioned that the 2024 Fairfield Harvest Rush has a $2000 purse. But, I didn’t clarify the break down of awards. So, I’ll put that here and follow up with a more detail post soon.
| Category | Place | Award |
| Men’s and Women’s Race Pace or Grassroots | 1st Place | $500 |
| 2nd Place | $300 | |
| 3rd Place | $200 |
There are some things that I missed and will need to talk about soon, namely:
- Points and how we’re going to award them
- The 2024 t-shirt design
Like I said, a lot going on and we have a lot more to share. So, please watch the video, comment and ask questions, like and subscribe and we’ll keep building great gravel events for you!
